Julaine "Julie" Ann Jacobs, age 59, of Wolsey, passed away at her home on Monday, March 08, 2021. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey with burial at Wolsey Cemetery in Wolsey, South Dakota. Visitation will be on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 3-7 PM at St. John's in Wolsey with family present from 5-7 PM.

Julaine "Julie" was born on December 18, 1961 to parents Norman and Connie (Johnson) Neuharth in Huron. She grew up in Wolsey, graduating from Wolsey High School. She earned her Associate's degree from University of Phoenix.

She married Gary Jacobs on October 30, 1982 at First Presbyterian Church in Huron.

Julie worked for USDA-NRCS for 16 years in the Huron office. Julie enjoyed many hobbies such as crafting, crocheting, camping, bike riding and fishing. She loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandkids. She loved hosting gatherings and was always the life of the party! She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Backstreet Cruisers, and St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey.

Grateful for having shared in her life is her husband, Gary Jacobs of Wolsey; children, Adam (Cassie) Jacobs of Huron, Casey (fiancé Brittany Olson) Jacobs of Huron, Britnee (Dale Rounds) Jacobs of Hartford; grandkids, Lennox and Gentry Jacobs, and Shelbee and Shiloh Jacobs; her parents, Norman and Connie Neuharth of Wolsey; brothers, Brian (Cindy) Neuharth of Wolsey, Russ Neuharth of Huron, and Terry (Deanna) Neuharth of Rapid City; and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herbert and Clara Neuharth and Alfred and Helen Johnson; and her parents-in-law, Ottis and Minerva Jacobs.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to be designated to a charity of their choice in honor of Julie.
