Yvonne was born on June 17, 1954, in Lakehurst, New Jersey to James and Sue (Wilson) Webster. She graduated from Huron High School in 1972. She met her husband, Kevin, at a dance in Lane, SD and they married a year later in 1974. They settled in Huron where Yvonne began her own home daycare while raising her family. She was a well-known, child care provider, who loved and cared for the 100+ children who grew up in her home like they were her own children and grandchildren.
Yvonne and her husband purchased The Snack Barn in 1997, a concession stand that they owned and operated during the South Dakota State Fair for several years, which she took pleasure in planning and running. She also enjoyed working at the concessions during sporting events for the Huron School District. Yvonne thrived on work, but she also loved being at the lake or the river with her friends and sister, or relaxing outside in the mornings while drinking her coffee.
