William Dennis "Bill" Frey, age 69, of Corpus Christi, TX, formerly of Huron, died Friday, July 8, 2011 in Corpus Christi. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Huron with burial at the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. His Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. Monday, Jult 18, until the time of the Service at the church on Monday. William Dennis Frey the son of Herman and Clara (Madsen) Frey, was born on February 5, 1942 in Watertown, SD. He graduated from Huron High School in 1960. Bill started in the grocery business in high school as a bagger and went on to own and operate four Super Valu Supermarkets in the Midwest before moving to Texas. There he worked for The Grocers Supply Co. as a retail consultant for the past fifteen years. Bill is survived by his wife Debra, sons Jeffrey(Susan) Frey, of Indianapolis, IN, and Brian Frey, of St. Paul, MN; 2 daughters Lisa Harris, of Northbrook, IL and Kristine (Ryan) Frey-Murray, of Lodi, WI; and 6 grandchildren: Jake, Jon, Ryan, Nate, Sara and Jessica. Bill is also survived by 5 brothers: Don (Sally) Frey, of California, Erwin (Colleen) Frey, of Sioux Falls, SD, Harlan (Linda) Frey, of Arlington, TX, Charles (Rosie) Frey, of Virginia, and Larry (Janice)Frey, of Huron, SD; 3 sisters, Clarice (Delvin) Jacobson, of Blackhawk, SD, Arlys (Lawrence) Schlimgen of Worthington, MN, and Marilyn Frey, of Huron, SD; sister-in-law, Donine Frey and many loving nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Clara Frey; brother, Melvin; and sisters Kathi Frey and Anita Baum. Everyone who knew and loved Bill will forever miss him.
