William Edward Bill Eining was born on March 2, 1926, to Edward and Alice (Barta) Eining, at Artesian, SD, where he was raised on a farm.

Bill served his country in the U.S. Army from 1944-1945. He moved to the Iroquois area as a young man.

Bill married Mary Marsh at St. Williams Catholic Church, rural Yale, SD, on October 29, 1949. To this union came 10 children. Bill farmed, drove truck, and worked at Flannerys Packing Plain in the Iroquois-Huron area.

Bill loved talking about growing up on a farm and his ties to his Grandfathers farm at Artesian, SD. He enjoyed visiting about farming and loved playing cards, remembering and enjoying many of his card playing friends. He was a member of American Legion Bensley-Rounds Post #280 of Iroquois; and St. Pauls Catholic Church of Iroquois.

Bill and marys greatest pleasures wre being around their family, especially their grandchildren. Always ready for his family visits, offering coffee, and are ya hungry? He enjoyed cooking and baking in his later years and is known for his delicious bread baking which he brought to all family gatherings.

Bill enjoyed watching his favorite BB team the Lakers, or watching the Braves and the Yankees, which were his favorite baseball teams.

(Grandpa, you may be gone but you left your strength with me. I see it in our family, the ability to be all they can be. We grew up screaming grandpa, look at me and you bet that bob-cat-tail I know your looking down on me. - Johnny)
