Willard Bill Meyer, age 85, of 1380 Illinois Ave SW, Huron, died Friday, July 21, 2006, at the Huron Nursing Home. Private graveside rites will be at Riverside Cemetery and friends may call Monday afternoon and evening at the Welter Funeral Home. Willard Bill Meyer was born March 16, 1921, to John and Lydia (Hasz) Meyer in Alpena, SD. He graduated from Alpena High School and worked for many years in the dairy industry as a supervisor of inspectors for the South Dakota Department of Agriculture. In his retirement years, Bill enjoyed going to auctions and doing carpentry. He is survived by his wife, Lois; his children, Scott (Andrea) Meyer of Mitchell, SD, Verla (Bill) Bundschuh of Two Harbors, MN, Delvin Timm of Apache Junction, AZ, Loris (Gene) Schmit of Mountain Home, ID, and Donna (Gary) French of Watertown, SD; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Paul (Rose) Meyer and Luvern (Gloria) Meyer, both of Portland, OR; and his sister, Eldora Walline of San Antonio, Texas.
