She attended one year of business college learning life skills that enabled her to work in clerical and administrative roles throughout her career.
She married Ervin R. Beyer on July 15, 1951. They lived in California for a short time while Ervin was in the Army. She married Marvin W. Moilan, Sr. on June 20, 1956. They made their home in Huron where she worked in the Beadle County Courthouse in both the Treasurer's Office and the Register of Deeds offices. She also worked at the Marvin Hughitt Hotel as a bookkeeper. Wanda then went to South Dakota State Fair as the administrative assistant.

Wanda and Marvin moved back to Huron in September 2010 and she has resided in Huron since.

She was a member of American Lutheran Church in Huron and St. John's Lutheran Church while living in Hot Springs. Wanda's favorite saying was "God's in charge."
