Wanda J. Bogh, age 95, of Huron, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Avantara in Huron. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron. Visitation, with her family present, will be from 5-7 p.m., on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday morning.

Wanda Jeannine was born on May 8, 1929, to parents Richard and Evelyn (Troupe) Adebar in Huron. Wanda grew up on several farms, where she loved animals, especially her Shetland pony who was her constant companion. She attended country schools and graduated from Huron in 1947. In 1948, she met her sweetheart, Kenneth Bogh. They married in Yale in 1949 and had two daughters, Jeannine and Elaine. Wanda was a stay-at-home mom until her daughters were grown; she then worked at JC Penney for several years.

Wanda was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church where she participated in Martha Circle, quilt guild, and the auxiliary. She was also a life member of the Marine Corp League Auxiliary. She loved all her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ken in 2018; and her son-in-law, Royce Loesch in 2019.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her daughters, Jeannine Loesch of Pierre and her children, Jeff (Leanne) Loesch and Justin Loesch; Elaine (James) Adams of Huron and their children, Michelle (Adam) Garner, Brent (Jenna) Adams and Brandon (Ashley) Adams; ten great-grandchildren, Wyatt (Bridgette) Loesch and Savannah (Dalton) Martian, Tanner and Jaelyn Loesch, Kaidin, Kenneth and Chance Adams, Elizabeth and Abigail Garner, Kaine Adams; and two great-great grandchildren, Elowyn and Baby Boy Loesch.
