Wade Fuller, age 61, of Hitchcock, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron. His funeral service will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 26, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church in Bonilla with burial in Altoona Cemetery in Hitchcock. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8 pm Friday, April 25, 2014, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with a prayer service at 7 pm; or Saturday morning one hour prior to the service at the church. Wade Parkhurst Fuller was born on December 1, 1952 in Huron to Robert "Bob" and Viola (Parkhurst) Fuller. He graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1971. He was in the Army National Guard for six years. Wade started farming with his dad as soon as he was out of high school and remained on the family farm that has been in his family for over 100 years, until his passing. He raised hogs for many years along with his cattle. There was a special place in his heart for his dogs and many cats. Wade married Margaret Jean Krueger on October 8, 1977 at First Presbyterian Church in Huron and the couple lived in Bonilla and later moved onto the family farm. He loved farming, putting up hay, feeding calves, his horses, going on trail rides and to horse shows. Wade was very proud to watch his kids show his cattle, hogs, and horses in 4H. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends, Mustang cars, car shows, George Strait, Young & the Restless, and The Bold & The Beautiful. Wade also loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters, Brinley and Jesse. Wade is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marge Fuller of Hitchcock; two children, Justin Fuller and granddaughter Brinley Rae Fuller of Hitchcock, Jane (Lucas) Mattke and granddaughter Jesse Jane Mattke of Huron; his mother, Viola Fuller of Brookings; five siblings, Linda (Herb) Widmer of Madras, OR, Larry (Connie) Fuller of Clitherall, MN, Rosemary (Bob) Berg of Longville, MN, Cindy (Pat) Waligoske of Brookings, and Jill (Scott) Gehl of Rogers, MN; father-in-law, Donald Krueger of Huron; many nieces and nephews. Wade was preceded in death by his father, Robert Fuller in 2011 and his grandparents.
