Victoria Wiebe, age 55, of Yale, SD, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Her funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Faith Mennonite Church in rural Iroquois with interment in the church cemetery.

Visitation with the family present will be from 6:15-8:00 pm on Saturday, January 28th at the church; or visitation one hour prior to the funeral service on Sunday.

Victoria Anne Yost, the daughter of Harold Lee and Loretta Elaine (Koehn) Yost, was born on March 24, 1961 in Tucumcari, NM.  She attended school in Iroquois, SD.  Victoria was baptized on April 2, 1978 into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, by Min. Raymond Ensz.

Victoria was united in marriage to Delton Wiebe on September 3, 1982 in Iroquois.  We made our home and partnered together on our farm near Yale, SD.  The four seasons , working and playing with our children, and family vacations are precious memories.  For Victoria, the best part of a trip was coming back home.

Our five little grandchildren, were her joy and delight. They often stayed with us.  She loved to get together with family.  Favorite pastimes were reading and doing jigsaw puzzles.  The bird bath and feeders were faithfully tended.

The corner of our living room was her sanctuary.  Many times we would find her there with her Bible, devotional reading or a good book.  Often at night, she would look out of our north window to find the Big Dipper.  The starry sky gave consolation that "everythings going to be alright."

Victoria's faith in God, our home, and family were the most important things in her life.   During her  cancer journey Victoria was an inspiration to many people. The trials of life did not harm her calm and committed spirit. She was greatly loved and will be missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Delton of Yale, SD; six children: Jessica (Jeremy) Fricke  and their children, Cody and Kate of Grafton, ND, Matthew (Chyanne) Wiebe and their daughter, Mariah of Iroquois, SD, Thomas (Shari) Wiebe and their children, Kade and Avonlea of Yale, SD, Cameron Wiebe of Yale, SD, (his fiancee, Nicole Unruh of Grafton, ND), Kristyn Wiebe of Yale, SD, and Rilla (Jaren) Koehn of Ronan, MT; her mother, Loretta Yost of Iroquois, SD; her six siblings: Lockwood (Jonell) Yost of Iroquois, SD, Barry (Alicia) Yost of Hilmar, CA, Eilizabeth (Craig) Jantz of Ronan, MT, Anthony (Mamie) Yost of McVeytown, PA, Eva (Weston) Toews of Grafton, ND, and Ace Bordeaux of Iroquois, SD; mother-in-law, Dessie Wiebe of DeSmet, SD; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Ken) Fricke of Grafton, ND and Linda (Wes) Toews of DeSmet, SD; and brother-in-law, Danny (Sharon) Wiebe; and many nieces and nephews.

Victoria was preceded in death by her father, Harold Yost; and father-in-law, Roy Wiebe.
