Tony Schwartz, age 59, of Huron, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at his home. His memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Welter Funeral Home with burial of his cremated remains at a later date. Memorial visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Anthony Ray Schwartz, son of LeRoy and Lila (Welch) Schwartz, was born on July 11, 1952, in Huron, SD. He attended schools in Huron and graduated from Huron High School in 1970. He worked for several years at North West Pipe in Huron, and for SODAK Circuits in Huron. On May 1, 1976, Tony married Patricia Axtman in Huron. He co-owned Duling Optical in Huron, later moving to Rapid City where he worked in the same industry. He returned to Huron in 2008 as a result of poor health. He was a past member of American Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing darts; hunting; fishing; camping; reading; the Dallas Cowboys; and All-Star Wrestling. Tony is survived by his parents; LeRoy and Shirley Schwartz of Huron; 2 sons, Adam Schwartz and Andrew Schwartz, both of California; 2 brothers, Tim (Lei) Schwartz of Huron, and Tyler (Judy) Schwartz of Huron; sister-in-law, Tracey Schwartz of Huron; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Lila; and a brother, Todd.
