Tom Kasperson, age 55, of Williston, ND, and formerly of Huron, died Friday, October 17, 2008, at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND.

His funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at American Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery with Military Rites by the Huron Veterans Council.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at the Welter Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 p.m.; or Thursday afternoon one hour prior to the service at the church.

Thomas Paul Kasperson was born October, 7, 1953 in Brookings, SD to Ted and Donna (Lloyd) Kasperson. He was raised and attended school in Huron, graduating from Huron High School in 1971. On July 21, 1972 he joined the US Navy. He was honorably discharged on April 20, 1978.

Tom returned to Huron where h worked at F&M bank in Huron, was a manager at the Hickory House Motor Inn, and was employed at the Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center all in Huron. He was currently the manager at the Airport International Inn in Williston, where he has worked for the past twenty years.

He was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Huron and the American Legion. Tom also directed plays at the Center Stage Theater in Huron.

He is survived by 1 brother, Brad Kasperson of Bloomington, MN; 3 sisters, Linda (Kent) Hogrefe of Gregory, SD, Nancy (Bill) Fargo of Yankton, SD, and Julie Madden of Vermillion, SD; 6 nieces and 2 nephews; 6 great-nephews and 5 great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a great nephew.
