Theresia Dosch, age 94, of 51 Ordway Ave SW, Huron, died Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Huron Nursing Home. Her funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM Friday, January 5, 2007 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with Father Joe Holzhauser officiating. Burial will be at St. Martin Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening at the Welter Funeral Home or prior to the Mass at the church Friday morning. There will be a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. Theresia Dosch was born Theresia Schmidt on December 16, 1912, to John and Theresia (Dutenhoffer) Schmidt in Logan County at Napoleon, ND. She attended the country school in Logan County. After the death of her parents she moved to South Dakota with her uncle. On November 19, 1930, Theresia married Andrew Dosch at the Holy Cross Church in Ipswich. They lived on a farm near Mina until 1947 when the moved to Huron. She worked at St. Johns Hospital for over 25 years as food supervisor and head cook. She is survived by 2 daughters, Florence (Clarence) Hermanson of Las Vegas, NV and Faye (Vernal) Wipf of Huron; 3 sons, Arthur Dosch of Murrieta, CA, Melvin (Janice) Dosch of Huron and James Dosch of Tucson, AZ; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 step grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in April 1985, one daughter-in-law, Georgia Dosch, her parents, 8 brothers, and 4 sisters.
