Theadore A. Wipf, age 84, of Weslaco, TX and formerly of Huron, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Aurora Hospice House in Weslaco, TX. His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron with burial to follow at St. Martin's Cemetery in Huron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday morning. His funeral service will be live streamed through the Welter Funeral Home Facebook Page .

Theadore A. Wipf, was born January 13, 1938 in Liberty Township, Beadle County, South Dakota to parents Albert R. Wipf and Elizabeth (Gross) Wipf. He grew up on a farm outside of Yale, South Dakota, the youngest of one sister and five brothers.

He graduated from Yale High School and was a member of the South Dakota National Guard. He worked at Armour and Company for 25 years. After he left Armour, he enjoyed volunteering, traveling and camping, especially with the Huron Rovers Camping Club. He volunteered for over 10 years at the St. Francis Thrift Shop and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron, South Dakota.

He married Delores Lemmer on October 7, 1961. He lived in Huron most of his life, moving to Weslaco, Texas in 2005.

He is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Delores; his children: Laurel (Mark) Pedri of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tom (Kathy) Wipf of Gravois Mills, Missouri; one granddaughter: Anne (Caleb) Hayden of Overland Park, Kansas; his brothers: Johnny (Elaine) Wipf and Harry (June) Wipf; sister-in-law, Arlene Wipf and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Linda Shuey in 2003, sister Sylvia Hofer and brothers David, Edward and Herbert Wipf.
