Tammy J. Bau, age 48, of Hitchcock, SD, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron, SD. Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at the Hitchcock United Methodist Church with burial at the Altoona Cemetery in Hitchcock. Her visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 19, at the Hitchcock United Methodist Church; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Tammy J. Cole, the daughter of Ray P. and Bertha (Bonebrake) Cole Jr., was born on September 8, 1964, in Huron, SD. She attended school and graduated from Hitchcock High School. She also attended college for two years and received a degree. Tammy worked on the sales floor at the Wal-Mart Store in Huron. Tammy was a member of the Hitchcock United Methodist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her horses, horseback riding, baking, going to the fair, and doing word finds. Tammy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Grateful for having shared in Tammy's life are her mother, Bertha Cole of Hitchcock, SD; five children, Forrest (Audrey) Frericks of Huron, SD, Blake Bau of Aberdeen, SD, Jessica Bau of Hitchcock, SD, Chelsea Bau of Frankfort, SD, and Russell Bau Jr. of Frankfort, SD; three grandchildren, Kylee, Bridget, and Autumn Rose; four brothers, Lee (Susan) Cole of Rapid City, SD, Randy (Bonnie) Cole, Russell Cole, and Todd (Jennifer) Cole, all of Hitchcock, SD; and many nieces and nephews. Tammy was preceded in death by her dad, Ray Cole Jr.
