Susanna (Wollman) Glanzer was born on March 24, 1936 in Huron, Manitoba, Canada to Pred. Zacharias and Sara. In 1949, she moved to Pearl Creek, South Dakota. On June 10, 1955, she married David Glanzer of Huron Colony and together they shared 67 years and had 9 children.

In February of 1961, they moved to Hillside where she resided until her death.

Grandma had a gentle and quiet spirit and died as she lived. She was a hard-working woman and was always willing to lend a hand, until a stroke in 2010 slowed her down. But even after that, she continued to help out with small tasks in any way she could. She endured everything with patience and dignity that can only come from the Lord. She had a great sense of humor and could always make us laugh with her witty one-liners. You could always hear her singing morgen and abend lieder even after she lost her voice, she still continued the best she could. She especially loved it when her grandchildren stopped by to sing with her or just to visit, even if only for a minute. Her great-grandchildren brought her great joy and always seemed to put a smile on her face. Although we can’t yet picture life without her, we are reminded what a privilege it is to have known her.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents: Pred. Zacharias and Sarah and parents-in-law Andrew and Esther Glanzer; one son James, one daughter Diane, one daughter-in-law Lisa and one grandchild Judith and five brothers and one sister.
