A Celebration of Susan's Life will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 2:00 P.M. at Welter Funeral Home in Huron, SD with inurnment following at Restlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Memorial visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service.



Susan Marie Kludt, age 68, of Bloomington, MN passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home as a result of an accident.

Susan was born on August 30, 1949, in Huron to Calvin "Cal" and Doris (Rieck) Kludt. Susan grew up on the family farm and graduated from Alpena High School in 1967. She attended Nettleton Business College in Omaha in 1968. Susan moved to the Twin Cities area in 1968 where she made her home until her death.

Susan spent her career in the computer tech support field and retired from Accenture in 2016.

Susan shared her life throughout the years with her beloved cats, Lady, Archie, and Squeak, who she  called "her kids".  She loved the Hawaiian Islands-making frequent trips to Kauai and enjoyed sitting on the lanai watching for whales, sea turtles and Hawaiian monk seals. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading a book with her special cats curled up on her lap. Stampin' Up! was a treasured hobby; making cards for family and friends. She had a deep passion for nature, the environment and wildlife.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Cal and Doris.

She is survived by her sisters; Shirley (Dale) Kogel, Janene (Cliff) Jager, and Joan (Ron) Russell and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
