Steven Marvel, age 70, of Huron, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Huron Regional Medical Center of natural causes. His Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Visitation, with his family present, will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Steven Marvel was born to William and Evelyn (Palmer) Marvel on June 24, 1952, at St John's Hospital in Huron SD.

Steven is survived by his children William Marvel, Lynn Marvel, and Jackie Marvel of North Dakota, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. His sisters Cheryl Wormstadt, Kelly (LeRoy) Halvorson, and Kim (Clair) Gustafson. His brothers David (Mary) Marvel, Terry Marvel and Jeff (Rhonda) Marvel, many nieces and nephews along with his special friends, Nate Stevens and Ryan Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Melanie Marvel, and grandparents, his brother-in law, Leonard Wormstadt.
