Stephen D. Waldner, age 53, of Pearl Creek Colony, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at his home in rural Iroquois. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Pearl Creek Colony.

Stephen Daniel Waldner was born on October 1, 1972 to Moses and Esther Waldner of Pearl Creek Colony. He was the ninth of eleven children. Our Heavenly Father took him home to eternal glory on April 12, 2026.

He was baptized on confession of his faith on March 31, 1997. Steve embraced life, he lived it to the fullest. He loved to try new things--especially food. He loved to eat! He was outgoing, he loved people. He would talk to anyone and his friends were numerous and came from all walks of life. Steve faced many challenges in life--especially pertaining to his health. He was able to overcome or cope with most of them, until pancreatic cancer won the battle. After a courageous nine month battle, he was rewarded complete victory and healing when God called him home.

We will treasure forever the last two weeks with him here at home, knowing his earthly journey was nearing its end. We have so many precious memories. Family gatherings will never be the same without his presence. We will always remember his fun loving ways, his special gifts and his generosity and his teasing. Though he knew he wasn’t the best singer, Steve loved to sing. One of his favorite hymns was How Beautiful Heaven Must Be. We can only imagine his voice lifted in joyful praise around the throne.

He leaves behind to cherish priceless memories.
