Obituary
Stacy Walker, age 46, of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at her home. Her Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on August 1, 2018 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home, starting at 1 PM.
Stacy Walker was born on December 19, 1971 to Thomas Harris and Sandy Walker in Denver, Colorado. She attended school and graduated from Huron High School in 1990. She also attended Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, SD where she studied to be a medical assistant.
Stacy raised her family and was a loving homemaker. She enjoyed playing on pool and dart leagues and also supporting diabetes associations.
Stacy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved George Strait and cheering on the Denver Broncos and collecting their memorabilia. She enjoyed arts and crafts and her dog, Scoobee. Stacy had a very big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed one. She would consider her children's friends as her own and was considered a true friend to many and would do anything for a friend.
Grateful for having shared in Stacy's life are her children; Kylee Walker of Huron; Bradee Brown of Huron, SD; Dana (Brown) Hahn and husband Daniel of Flandreau, and Danielle Brown of Flandreau; two grandchildren, Paislee Walker and TJ Clement; her mother, Sandy Walker of Huron, SD; her sister, Kris Fodness; special aunts and uncles; Sharon and Gary Hansen, Ronny and Sally Walker, Dennis and Louise Walker, and Stan and Trudy Walker; Special cousins Darcy Hansen and Shawn Maloney; Great Aunt Phyllis Rowan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, grandson Nash Hahn and special friend, Don Jury.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in Stacy's name or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
