Sharon Hoy, 79, of Plainfield, IN passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024.  She was born on November 10, 1944 to Charles and Vera Corcoran in Huron, S.D.  She is a graduate of the University of South Dakota where she met her husband, Richard Hoy, who preceded her in death in 1995.  She had a few occupations in her life, but her favorites were being an elementary school teacher, a retail jewelry shop owner, and a saleswoman for a national photography company.  She enjoyed being a member of The Red Hat Society social club after she moved to Indianapolis in 1998.

Sharon Hoy is survived by her two sons: Richard Hoy (Susan Hoy) Buchanan, MI and Jason Hoy (Michelle Hoy) Plainfield, IN; six grandchildren: Dustin Hoy (Jamie Hoy), Michael Hoy (Nicole Hoy), Kaytlin Hoy, Evan Hoy, Colin Hoy, and Tyler Hoy; and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron.
