Scott D. Olson, age 58, of Huron, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the  Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 2-5 PM on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Scoreboard Bar & Grill in Huron, South Dakota.

Scott D. Olson, the son of Eugene C.  and Shirley (Ochsner) Olson, was born on February 7, 1961 in Huron, SD. He attended school and graduated from Wolsey High School. Scott owned and operated Scott Olson Digging Inc. and Premier Contracting with his son, Nick.

Scott enjoyed repairing trucks, cars, and motorcycles.  He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  Scott loved spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared in Scott's  life are his  wife, Lori Olson of Huron; son, Nick  Olson of Huron; three grandchildren, Zoey, Storm, and Braxtyn Olson; father, Gene Olson of Huron; brother, Reed (Missy) Olson of Sioux Falls, SD; sister Laurie (Dale) Zimmer of Sioux Falls, SD; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and best friends, Don Zemnia and Brian Rand.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, Shirley Olson.
