On the 7th of November, 1950, Saw Tha Htoo, age 68 was born to Saw To Noe and Naw Ber Ray in Ayahwaty Division, Maw La Myint, Takupwalu village. Saw Tha Htoo is the third child of 10 siblings. In 1975, he married Naw Lue Lu and together they had 4 beautiful children, 3 sons and a daughter. He moved to Umpium Refugee Camp in 2003. In 2009, by the grace of God, Saw Tha Htoo and his family were able to resettle in America. Initially in Minnesota, Saw Tha Htoo relocated to Huron, South Dakota for job opportunities. On the 15th of May, 2019 at 2:24 AM (CDT), he answered the call of Heaven and said goodbye to his friends and family. He is survived by a loving wife, 3 sons, a daughter and 9 beautiful grand children.

His funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial following at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
