Ruth Palmer, age 92, of Lennox, SD, and formerly of Huron, SD, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Center in Lennox, SD.

At her request cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Ruth was born March 11, 1925, in Clark, SD.  Ruth graduated from Huron Public Schools and married Elwood N. Palmer on March 3, 1945; Elwood passed away on March 25, 1996.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elwood, and a brother, Kenneth Christensen.

Survivors are a son, Steven and Sandra Palmer of Richmond, Texas, and a daughter, Dedra Shaffer, of Texarkana, Texas, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.
