Our Mother, Grandmother, GG, Aunt, Sister, Friend, finally made her last journey the morning of October 13, 2015 . She is again with the Love of her life, and the Lord. Ruth was born Ruth Donodea Schorzmann, daughter of Peter and Dorthea Schorzmann. Mom was born July 10, 1925 in Alpena SD and passed away in Aberdeen SD at Angelhaus, at the age of 90 years and 95 days. Surrounded by her daughters Tammy and Michelle, granddaughters Tricia and Christyl. Mom grew up in Alpena SD, graduating from Alpena High School. She graduated from the college in Wessington Springs where she received a certificate for teaching. Ruth was involved in many things throughout her life. She worked for NWPS, United Way, and a big part her life was a Rural Route Mail Carrier. She loved her job except when she would get caught in a snow storm, but could always depend and her patrons on her route to come and pull her out. They called her knuckles because that is really all you could see of her in her car. Mom retired in 1993. She was a Member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 65 years. Member of the Congregational United Church of Christ for 64 years Mother met the love of her life in 1946, James Richard (Dick) Namanny, marrying in June 8, 1947. They were joined at the hip for 59 years until Dad passed away. Their first home was a very small one bedroom trailer that sat on the hill going down to Ravine Lake. I remember Mom and Dad driving us by their place being so proud. In 1952 they built a new home in which they shared for 54 years. Moms' biggest achievements in life were her children, Tamara, Kim, Rhonda and Michelle. Family was always a very important part of her life. She loved her flower gardens especially her roses. We think she had the best flower garden in the neighborhood. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mom and Dad especially loved spending time at Lake Byron, the more the merrier. One of the things we loved so much, was that when we brought friends home, they always welcomed them like they were family. Moms last years were spent in Aberdeen SD so that she could be loved up by her Great Grandchildren, Lauren, Kyra, Jaidyn, Olivia, and Owen They loved their GG so very much and will miss her so. She lived at Angelhaus where she was loved by all those who took such great care of her. Mom was of few words in the last years but you could always get a smirk out of her, and of course the dreaded stink eye. Ruth is survived by her 4 children, Tamara Steger of Aberdeen SD, Kim (Peggy) Namanny of Brighton Colorado, Rhonda (Dan) Schneider of Johnstown, Colorado, Michelle (David) Gascoigne of Huron, SD.: 9 grandchildren Tricia(Barry)Marcuson, Christyl (Tyler) Forsyth, Alicia Namanny, Mariah Namanny, Melinda (Zach) Archer , Carissa Schneider, Corinne Schneider, Benjamin(Kimberly) Gascoigne, Garred Gascoigne. 12 Greatgrandchildren, Kyra, Lauren, Olivia Marcuson, Jaidyn and Owen Forsyth, Mercedez Ortega, Damian Raigosa, Landon Schneider, Tyan Archer, Trent Lawson, Bailey Archer, Baby Gascoigne.
