Ruth Bloedorn, age 98, of 50 7th St. SE, Huron, SD, died Thursday, September 3, 3009, at Violet Tschetter Memorial Home.

Her burial service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 5, at Riverside Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Ruth Bloedorn, was born Ruth Wilma Ruppert, on April 15, 1911, to Joseph and Lillie (Jones) Ruppert in Woonsocket, SD, where she grew up and attended school. Following her education she worked as a domestic for several families in the Woonsocket area.

In April of 1937, Ruth married William Earl Bloedorn in Huron. The couple lived in Huron for a period of time, later moving to Minneapolis. Her husband, Earl, died on December 7, 1966. Ruth returned to Huron in 1986.

She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church in Huron; and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, and jig-saw puzzles.

She is survived by 1 sister, Thayne Loftus of Princeton, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; 2 brothers and 3 sisters; and 1 brother-in-law, Joby Loftus.
