Rose Schorzmann, age 86, of Huron, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. Her funeral service will be on Monday, August 26 at 2:00 PM at American Lutheran Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Huron. Visitation with her family present will be on Sunday, August 25 from 3-5 PM with a prayer service to start at 5 at Welter Funeral Home.

Rosalta Schorzmann was born on December 4, 1932 to parents George and Marsha Lucille (Lyman) Turcotte in Huron. She grew up in Huron, graduating from Huron High School.

Rose married Peter Schorzmann in Huron on August 19, 1950. Rose worked at the office for Huron Radio and TV and waitressed at the Cub Lunch.

Rose and Pete enjoyed traveling after retirement. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and sewing. She enjoyed watching football, especially the Minnesota Vikings. Spending time with family and friends, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids was always important to Rose. She loved spending time at the cabin at Lake Byron.

Rose was a member of American Lutheran Church and Ladies' Circle.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pete in 2009, son Bradly Schorzmann, grandson Scott Nelson, and great-grandson Ashtyn Bergmann.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her children: Brenda Parisian-Schorzmann of Huron, Briana Ege-Schorzmann of Huron, and Belinda Scattini of Hollister, CA; three grandchildren: Cammy Weber, Kory Steilow, and Ashley Rose Parisien; ten great-grandchildren: Jaden Weber, Jerret Weber, Caitlin Weber-Bents,  Alissa Steilow, Brilee Steilow, Trysten Provost, Dominic Bergmann, Austin Wyant, Rylin Bergmann, and Taylor Rose McGehee; two great-great grandchildren, Georgia Rose Bents and Max Steilow. Sisters-in-law, Pearl Berquist of Huron and Geneva Hanson of Orlando, FL as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
