Robert W. Ringheimer, age 71, of Huron, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Countryview Estates in Huron in the arms of Amy, Shane and Dawn. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Military Honors by Huron Veteran's Council. Visitation, with his family present, will be from 4-6 p.m., on Friday, April 14 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron.

Robert William Ringheimer was born on March 4, 1952, in Huron, South Dakota to parents Arthur and Ethelyn Ringheimer. He grew up in Wolsey, the 2 ^nd youngest of 16 siblings. Robert was baptized Lutheran and graduated from Huron High School. He joined the United States Air Force and served his country in Germany. After being honorably discharged, he returned home.

Robert married Carol and from this union two children were born, Shane and Amy. In 1995, he married Sue Henson, where he inherited four stepchildren, Dawn, Shannon, Kim and Misti.

He worked at Huron Dressed Beef, Dakota Pork and HMMI, where he retired in 2019. He and Sue co-owned Shenanigan's Restaurant and Bar for several years.

Robert also loved being on the farm, where farming led to his passion for gardening. He enjoyed watching old westerns, while lounging in his recliner (napping more than watching). Spending time outdoors gave him much joy, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren, but mostly he enjoyed scolding "those girls," Amy and Dawn.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his children, Amy (Mike) Hofer of Huron and their children, MaKayla (Nick), Lucas, and Noah; Shane (Rhonda) Ringheimer of Huron and Shane's two daughters; step-daughter, Dawn (Bill) Eining of Huron and their children, Kenny (Ariel), Nikalus (Jocelyn), Arizona (Wyatt), Ashton (Cameron); step-son, Shannon ( Tara) Hofer of Ohio and their children, Cora (Jake), Christian, Caleb, Kolton, Levi, and Hawk; step-daughter, Kim (Jeff) White of Texas and their children, Caitlin (Chris), Tiffany (Rob), Tessa, and Taylor; step-daughter, Misti (Jason) Hofer of Huron and their children, Landen and JayCee; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Tom, Richard and Jim Ringheimer; two sisters, Beryl Horton and Alice Sargent; several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law.

Greeting him in Heaven is his wife, Sue; his parents, Arthur and Ethelyn; mother and father-in-law, Donald and Betty Henson; step-granddaughter, Lexi White; and 10 siblings.
