Robert King, age 55, of Huron, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. His Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Welter Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will be meeting at the Elks Lodge immediately following his funeral service for a time of fellowship until 6 PM.

Robert Myron King was born on November 27, 1966 in Beadle County to parents Eldred O. King and Bernadette Meyers.

Robert worked for Barti Metals for 15 years and Scott Olson Construction for 12 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting trips with  his son. He also enjoyed poker runs, going out to eat, and working on the farm tending to his cattle. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and attending rodeos. Spending time with his dog, Tuff, was also special to him.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Gracee and Olivia Thompson and Rylee Thompson; his brothers, Roger (fiancé Michelle) of Cavour, Alvin of Huron, Greg of Mitchell and Todd of Mitchell; sisters, Alfreda Siems of Sioux Falls and Melody His Law of Ft. Thompson; very special friend Linda Rokusek of Huron; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son Kyle Thompson.
