Rita Yvonne Sprecher, age 91, of Huron, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Avantara Huron. Her Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Hope Lutheran Church in Huron with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron; family present from 5:30-7 with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 PM.

Rita Yvonne Schiltz was born on August 19. 1929 to Floyd and Grace (Shaw) Schiltz in the Virgil Area. She attended Sand Creek Consolidated School for 8 years before graduating from Virgil High School in 1948.

In the spring of 1949, she went to work for Woolworth and Company in the hardware department. She married the love of her life, Harold Sprecher on November 27, 1949 in Huron. They made their home on the family farm south of Wolsey.

They retired and moved to Huron in 1991. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed baking and caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey for 30 years where she served as Sunday School teacher and held various offices in the women's group. She became a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in the 1980's where she was a member of the women's group.

Grateful for having shared her life are her four sons; Steve (Marian), Robert, Lyle (Rhonda), and Charles (Cathy); 14 grandchildren, Douglas (Suzanne), Patrick (Colleen), Joshua (Melissa), Emily, Evan, Taylor, Cortney, Ryan (Sky), Tyler (Brianna), Kimberlie (Jimmy), Carter, Cole (Justine), Paige (Cameron), and Keely; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Harold; her parents; and her sister Jean and brother-in-law Jim Winter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorials given to Hope Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
