Rena Whitlock, age 59, of Huron, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at her home in Huron.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron.

Rena Michelle Whitlock was born on March 24, 1965 in Pierre, South Dakota to parents James and Shirley (Leiferman) Whitlock. She graduated from T.F. Riggs High School in 1984. She then received her associate's degree in business from Huron University.

Rena enjoyed watching football and cheering on her Green Bay Packers. She also had a passion for Hello Kitty, unicorns and leopard print. She enjoyed spending time with her children and cats. She loved to watch soap operas and listen to music, especially Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osborn, Blue Oyster Cult and Night Ranger. Rena always loved Jeeps, specifically her Green Bay Packers Jeep.

She is survived by her children, Megan Kohlman, Wade Kohlman, and Eric Poile; five grandchildren; her siblings, Greg Whitlock, Janelle Whitlock, and Todd Whitlock; and her mother, Shirley Whitlock of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her son Alex Smith and her father James Whitlock.
