Randal G. Jungemann, age 77, of Wolsey, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Huron Regional Medical Center. His memorial service will be at 11:30 AM on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Inurnment with military honors by Hershman-Gordon American Legion Post #59 will follow at Wolsey Cemetery.

Memorial visitation with his family present will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Welter Funeral Home concluding with a prayer service at 4 PM.

Randal Gene Jungemann was born on January 26, 1949 to parents Lillian and Edward Hoskins in Huron. He attended Wolsey Schools, graduating in 1967. After high school, Randy joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country. After his honorable discharge, Randy worked for Bartholow Construction. He also worked as a carpenter for many years. Randy started his career with the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier, a job he loved for 25 plus years. 

When Randy wasn't working, he enjoyed staying busy with the hobbies he loved most. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, gardening, recycling, reading, leatherworking, scraping and carpentry. He was always working on a project, whether in the garden or the workshop. Randy treasured time spent with his family and friends, especially cheering on his nieces and nephews at their sporting events. A loyal Minnesota sports fan, he rarely missed an opportunity to root for the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings. More than anything, Randy will be remembered for the love he shared with those closest to him and the time he spent making memories with them.

Randy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the NRA, and a fifty plus year member of the Hersman-Gordon American Legion Post #59 in Wolsey.

Grateful for sharing in Randy’s life are his siblings: Charles (Sandra) Jungemann of Greensburg, KS, Lynn Nett (Robert) Wagner of Wolsey, and D’Ann (Dennis) Fromm of Huron; six nieces and nephews; Michael (Connie) Jungemann, Jennifer (Ted) Haeder, Holly (Jim) VanBuskirk, Justin Wagner, Shayla (Chad) French, and Desirae (Bryce) French; 17 great-nieces and nephews; Gracie and Emily Jungemann, Cooper (Katlyn Jacobs), Cash, Emma and Timber Haeder, Parker (fiancé Craig Mallon) and Kade Van Buskirk, Reagan, Jada, Corbin, and Jorja Wagner, Mercedez and Paxton French, and Tate, Riley, and Jax French; great-great niece and nephew Jonathan and Lilly Haeder; uncle James (Sandy) Jungemann of Huron; and aunt Janice Jungemann of Huron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Larry Hoskins; five uncles, Marlo, Gerald, and Terry Jungemann, Parke Hoskins, and Wilfred Bartel; three aunts Yvonne Bartel, Norelle Bartel Russel and Dianna Jungemann; and one nephew, Adam Fromm.
