Ragna Eisenberger, age 97, of 1345 Michigan Ave. SW, Huron, SD, died on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at the Sun Quest Healthcare Center in Huron.
Her Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. , Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron, with burial of her cremated remains at Altoona Cemetery in Hitchcock. There will be no visitation.
Ragna Moller, the daughter of Max S. and Johanne (Pedersen) Moller, was born on May 31, 1911 in Horsens, Denmark. She received her education in Denmark and moved to the United States in 1936. Ragna married Eric Wisbrun on January 15, 1936. After Eric's death in 1967, Ragna married Ludwig Eisenberger on April 13, 1969. Ludwig died on January 23, 1975. Ragna lived in Long Island, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Albion, MI; and Cleveland, OH, before moving to Huron, SD. She also lived in Israel for a number of years.
Ragna was a member of the Lutheran church for her entire life. She was fluent in French, Danish, English, and she spoke some Hebrew. Ragna was an accomplished competiton swimmer in France for a number of years. She enjoyed reading, watching gameshows on the television, and spending time with her family and friends.
Ragna is survived by her nephews; Max and Claus Moller, Denmark; Tom Miller, Boulder, CO; Arthur Moller, NJ; Jens E. Christensen, Rapid City, SD; Anders Christensen, Lodi, CA; and Gordon Christensen, Renfrew, PA; her nieces: Kirsten Canoy, Lincoln, AK; Ulla Gatzke, Tulare, SD; Brenda Belsole, Allendale, NJ; and Anne-Mette Utzsen, Denmark; and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Ragna was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Eric Wishbrun and Ludwig Eisenberger; four brothers, Egon, Carl, and Emil Moller, and Eigild Miller; and one sister, Harriet Christensen.
