Quenton Leetch, age 71, of Huron died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at home. His body has been cremated and a burial of his cremated remains at Riverside Cemetery in Huron will be 9:00 am Friday, August 7, 2015. Quenton Leetch was born on April 10, 1944 in Ainsworth, NE to Pearl and Katherine (Nissen) Leetch. He attended Ainsworth public schools and later earned his GED. Quenton worked as a ranch hand for a time in the Ainsworth area and also worked various jobs around the country until he met Geneva Songer and moved to Huron. He married Geneva on August 7, 1966 at the Huron Salvation Army. In Huron, he worked various jobs, including as a construction worker and a truck driver until his declining health caused him to retire in 1997. Quenton was a great fisherman. He also enjoyed playing pool, reading books before his eye sight declined, and listening to old country music. He was a member of the Salvation Army. Quenton is survived by his wife of 48 years, Geneva Leetch of Huron; one neice, Linda Nicholeson of MN; brothers-in-law, Keith (Rose) Songer, Wayne (Barb) Songer, Larry Songer, all of Huron; and sisters-in-law, Leota Story of Basset, NE, Iola Hamilton of Tucson, AZ. Quenton was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
