Phyllis Moeller, age 77, of Huron, died Thursday, September 1, 2005, at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center at Lennox, SD. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 3rd at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Christopher Ascher oficiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 PM or Saturday morning at the Welter Funeral Home or prior to the service at the church Saturday afternoon. Phyllis Moeller was born Phyllis Hintz on March 19, 1928, to Adolph and Pauline (Walz) Hintz at Yale, SD. She was raised and educated in Yale, SD. On September 9, 1945, Phyllis married William Moeller at Yale, SD. They began their 48 years of marriage on a farm near Yale and a year later moved to their farm near Cavour, SD. Together they farmed, raised their family and shared their lives together. In October 1969, Phyllis and Bill moved to Huron where she resided until November 2004. Mom and Grandma will most be remembered for her generous heart and unselfish love. She loved her family and enjoyed working outdoors, reading, crossword puzzles, baking (especially Christmas baking) and she was a wonderful seamstress. Over the years she made beautiful quilts which her family will cherish. She was an active member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron. Grateful for sharing her life are a daughter, Kathy Watkins of Sioux Falls, SD; a son, Roger Moeller of Reno, NV; a grandson, Jeff (Sheena) Watkins of Renner, SD; a granddaughter, Michelle (Chad) Moller of Sioux Falls, SD; a great granddaughter, Mackenzie Watkins of Renner, SD; a brother, LeRoy Hintz of Yale, SD; two sisters, Vylene (Elmer) Beckman of Cavour, SD and Vera (Morrie) DeWolf of Forest Grove, OR and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William in January, 1993, her son Dean in May, 1966, her son-in-law, Dave Watkins in August, 2001, one sister, Loretta Anderson, and two brothers, Gilbert and Wilmer Hintz. Casket bearers will be Jeff Watkins, Chad Moller, Jerry Wiederrich, Brian Rush, Scott Hintz and Bruce Beckman.
