Phillip Richey, age 61, of Sioux Falls, SD, and formerly of Huron, died October 24, 2008, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

The burial service of his cremated remains will be at 9:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, at Ideal Cemetery.

Phillip Richey was born on March 15, 1947, in Huron, SD, to William & Mahala (Oleson) Richey. He lived in Huron until 1968 when he became a resident of Mom & Dad's Nursing Home in Sioux Falls. In 1988 he moved to DakotAbilities in Sioux Falls.

He worked at DakotAbilities, CitiBank, and Creative Memories (Framers' Supply) for many years. He most enjoyed working at Creative Memories. Work was very important to him and he hardly missed a day! He made many friends throughout his life and will be missed.

He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins, John Wayne movies, and the Sioux Falls Canaries.

He is survived by his sister, Mahalia Connell of Huron; 3 brothers Frank Dalrymple of Lead, Stan Dalrymple of Watertown, and Donald Richey of Sioux Falls; special friends, Janis Kenny and Jeff Kirstein; and many others at DakotAbilities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mahala Richey; his brother, Fred Dalyrmple; and 2 sisters Allene, and Doris.
