Phillip L. Bult, age 53, of Wessington Springs, SD passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Sanford (USD) Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

His memorial service will be 2:00 p.m.Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Welter Funeral Home.

Visitation, with the family present, will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Phillip L. Bult, the son of Harold and Janet (Sorenson) Bult, was born on March 1, 1963 in Huron, SD. He attended school and graduated from Huron High School.  After High school Phillip joined the U.S Marines. Phillip worked as construction worker for most of his life until he had to retire due to health reasons.

Phillip enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching sports. Phillip played baseball in school and softball as an adult. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids. Phillip loved to attend the South Dakota State Fair, and made it a regular family outing every year.

Grateful for having shared in Philip's life are his three children: Kelly Bult of Huron, SD; Kyle Bult of Sioux Falls, SD, and Tasha Bult of Huron, SD; seven grandchildren; his fiancé, Irene Patience and her daughter, Jamie Leith of Wessington Springs, SD; his father, Harold "Harry" Bult of Wessington Springs, SD; two brothers: Justin and Barry Bult both of Springfield, SD; sister, Terri (Kris) Stemper of Mitchell, SD; and several nieces and nephews

Philip was preceded in death by his mother, Janet; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
