Pearl Getscher, age 90, of Wolsey died Friday, November 27, 2015 at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial in Wolsey Cemetery.
Visitation with family present will be 6-8 pm Monday, November 30, 2015 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour prior to the service.
Pearl Hilka Dracy was born on July 21, 1925 in Vayland, South Dakota to Oscar and Mabel (Goodall) Dracy. She attended country schools in Sand Creek.
Pearl married Elmer Getscher in 1942 in Huron. They spent their married life in Beadle and Hand County farming and running a trucking company out of Wolsey.
Pearl loved to farm, fish and was a great cook.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Janice Getscher of Bowie, TX; two sons, Gary (Gloria Luckett) Getscher of Wolsey, Dale (Carolyn) Getscher of Wolsey; six grandchildren, Rod High, Stacy (Tom) Daschel, Kathy (Paul) Hansen, Chad Getscher, Jenny (Bill Timm) Getscher, Jeremy Getscher; six great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Daschel, Jonathan Daschel, William Timm Jr., Brian High, Tara High, Taylor High; three siblings Susie Linafelter of Great Falls, MT, Victor (Eileen) Dracy of Huron, Elsie Welch of St. Lawrence; special friend, Helen Langbehn, of Wolsey; several nieces and nephews.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Getscher in 1971; granddaughter, Leah Rae Scheibe; and one sister, Thelma Bentz.
