Paw Htoo, age 88, of Huron, passed away on December 5, 2019 at her home in Huron. Her funeral service will be on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Su Knya Baptist in Huron, SD.

Paw Htoo was born on May 5, 1931 in Burma to parents Oo Maw Doe and Naw Tha Heh. Paw Htoo received her teacher's certificate and taught English and Karen in elementary schools in Burma.

She married Pah Htoo in 1942 in Burma. Paw Htoo enjoyed going to bible studies, praying for her family and friends, and keeping everyone around her in her prayers. She had a strong faith in God and enjoyed going to Church. She loved flowers, gardening, crocheting, knitting and working on Karen clothing.

Paw Htoo had an excellent memory and spent hours in the kitchen cleaning the pots.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister. She is survived by her husband, Pah Htoo of Huron, children Blay Blor (Mya Ye) of Huron, Eh Htoo (Mu Naw Shee) of Buffalo, NY, Thalay Htoo (Pah Ner) of Huron, and La June Paw (Htoo Htoo) of Denver, CO; and 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
