Pauline Ochsner, age 98, of Prescott, AZ , formerly of Alpena, died Friday, July 22, 2011, at Granite Gate Senior Living Community in Prescott. Her funeral service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Welter Funeral Home with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery in Alpena. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, July 26, at Welter Funeral Home; or one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Pauline Ochsner was born March 3, 1913, to Carl and Lydia (Neuharth) Oschner on a farm north of Alpena, South Dakota, where she attended school. During World War II, she moved to San Diego, CA, where she did electrical work on war airplanes for North American. After the war, she moved to East Los Angles, where she did electrical wiring for the space shuttle for the Boeing Company. In 1969, she worked on the Apollo Space Shuttle that went to the moon. She Moved to La Mirada, CA, and retired from the Boeing Co. in 1977. In 2000, she moved to Fresno, CA to the Carrington Pointe Retirement Home, where she lived until 2009, when she moved to Prescott, AZ. Pauline was a member of the 1st Christian Reformed Church of Bellflower, CA. She loved to travel and saw many different countries around the world. She also enjoyed gardening and working around her home in La Mirada, CA. Pauline is survived by many nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings, Ariel, Marcus, Lucas, Alvina Kopfmann all of Alpena, Esther Gordon of Oxnard, CA.
