Paula Lundquist, age 88, of Huron, SD, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at Huron SunQuest Healthcare Center. Her memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church preceded by burial at 10:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home with family present from 6-8 pm. Paula was born on May 5, 1922, in Mondovi, WI, to Fred and Julia (Pfund) Heike. She married Jeff Molid and farmed in the Mondovi area. They had three children: Robert, Karen and Patricia. They moved to Libertyville, IL, where they were both employed by Anchor Coupling. In 1955 they moved to Huron, SD. In 1959 she married Arvid Lundquist. Paula was a daycare provider for fifteen years. She enjoyed gardening, quilting with her Mt. Calvary Lutheran church group, knitting and spending time with friends and relatives. She is survived by her three children: Robert (Bonnie) Molid of Dubuque, IA, Karen (Robert) Trapp of Aberdeen, SD, and Patsy (Terry) Melius of Lampe, MO; four grandchildren: John Molid, Kristin (Mark) Cutler, Marci (Jason) Sims, Grady (Sarah) Melius; and one great-grandson Zachary Molid. Paula was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arvid; sisters, Palma and Frances; and grandson Todd Trapp.
