Paul E. Minium, age 90, of 50 7th St. SE Huron, died Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home. His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Daniel Domke and Rev. John Werner officiating. Burial will be at the Wolsey Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 to 8:00 PM at the Welter Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM or one hour prior to the service at the church Tuesday afternoon. Paul E. Minium was born on July 26, 1917, to Guy and Stella (Pribyl) Minium at Wolsey, SD. He attended Wolsey School and two years at Agriculture School at Brookings. On June 1, 1937, Paul married Alice Werner at Huron. They lived in Huron, Elkton and Wolsey for a number of years and then moved to the San Jose, California area in 1957. Paul was a farm hand for a number of years and worked at Freise Hardware at Wolsey for 10 years before he was employed at Crocker State Bank as a driver. They returned to Huron in 1985 where he has lived since that time. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Good Sams Club and enjoyed camping. He is survived by 1 daughter, Mary Ann (David) Rand of Huron; 1 son, Larry Ray Minium of Yuma, AZ; 6 grandchildren, James (Louise) Minium of Brooks, GA, Kristine (David) DeLisle of Menlo Park, CA, Brian (Karen) Rand of Huron, Lisa (Robert) DiRose of Watertown, Scott (Julianna) Minium of Guam and Mark (Jillane) Minium; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandsons; 1 sister, Eileen Christopherson of Wolsey; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice; his son Jerry, and 3 sisters, Ethel, Thelma and Joy.
