Patricia Hotchkiss, age 74, of Huron, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. Her Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron. Her service will be live-streamed thru Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Livestream

Visitation, with her family present, will be from 5-7 P.M., on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday morning. A prayer service will begin at 6:30 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home.

Patricia Ann was born on February 17, 1949, in Huron to parents Richard and Esther (Farmer) Chaplin. She attended Bonilla Grade School and graduated from Huron High School in 1967. She attended NWCC in 1975. Patricia married Russell Dean Hotchkiss on April 1, 1967, in Huron. They made their home in Butte, Montana; Cody, Wyoming; St. Paul, Nebraska; Hill City, SD; Ord, Nebraska; and Huron. Patricia worked in various offices throughout her life.

She enjoyed watching Westerns and game shows, reading, and watching her grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.

Grateful for having shared in her life is her husband, Russell of Huron; her children, Richard (Michelle) of Huron, Ryan of Huron, and Robert (Becky) of Delmont, SD; grandchildren, Jena (Kory) LaFurge of Pierre; Paige Hotchkiss of Jordan, MN; Justin Hotchkiss of San Diego, Jessica Hotchkiss of San Diego, Jacob Hotchkiss, Joey Hotchkiss, Jesse Hotchkiss, Jack Hotchkiss, all of Huron; Zachary, Noah, Isabelle, and Brooke Hotchkiss, all of Delmont; great-grandchildren, Addison, Remi, and Sophia LaFurge all of Pierre, SD;   her siblings, Barb (Mike) Bauer of Huron, Charles Wright of Westpoint, Utah, and Donnie (Diane) Herman of Miller; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Ronald Chaplin, Dennis Wright, and Sharon Zelenka.
