Patricia "Pat" Danforth, age 85, of Watertown, SD, formerly of Huron, SD, died Friday, November 29, 2013, at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December, 4, 2013, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron with burial at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron. Visitation with family present will be Tuesday evening, December 3, from 6-8 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m.; or Wednesday morning one hour prior to the service at the church. Patricia Yvonne DesLauriers, daughter of Harvey and Mavyne (St Peter) DesLauriers was born on October 13, 1928, on the family farm in rural Turton, SD. Pat attended country school and graduated from Raymond High School in 1946. On July 22, 1948, Pat married Donald Danforth in Clark, SD. The couple made their home in Raymond and Crandall until 1953 when they moved to Huron. In 2008 Pat moved to Watertown, SD. She worked for the Huron School District for many years. Pat was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish and St. Martin Catholic Church in Huron; and the Red Hat Club. She enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards and dice, but most of all, she enjoyed her family and loved to spend time with them. Grateful for having shared in her life are her 4 children, Perry (Joan) Danforth of Huron, Tim Danforth of Watertown, Cindy (Darrell) Sheridan of Huron, and Mike (Laurie) Danforth of Watertown; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Arlene Sutton of De Smet, SD; 4 sisters-in-law, Wanda DesLauriers of Watertown, Erlene DesLauriers of Clark, Verla DesLauriers of Huron, and Deonne Filipek of Watertown; 1 brother-in-law, John Solheim of Redfield; many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don in 2000; 5 brothers, Robert, Marvin, Richard, Glenn, and Jerry; 1 sister, Vanetta Flatten Solheim; 1 brother-in-law, Robert Sutton; and 2 sisters-in-law, Denise DesLauriers and Alice DesLauriers.
