Nicholas Zieske, age 36, of Huron, passed away August 2, 2014, at his home. Visitation with family present will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.; or Thursday morning one hour prior to the service at the church. His funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Huron with Fr. Terry Anderson officiating. The family will have a private burial. Nicholas Neal Zieske was born June 13, 1978 in Huron. His parents are Peggy (Glenn) Martinson and Rick (Sue) Zieske. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Martin's Catholic Church. He attended St. Martin's Catholic School, Huron Middle School and graduated from Huron High School in 1996. Nick graduated from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls obtaining all CDL licenses. He worked for Jim Metz Trucking of Plankinton and enjoyed seeing the country- side on his long hauls. Nick had a love for trucking and truly enjoyed taking his dogs on the road with him. His greatest joy was spending time with his children Haylie and David, they really looked up to their daddy. They were thrilled to be able to spend time with him at Disney World earlier this summer on a family vacation. He loved watching football and was passionate about the Pittsburg Steelers. Nick also enjoyed golfing when he could. He is survived by his parents; his children, Haylie and David Zieske and their mother, Linda Frie of Harrisburg; his brother and best friend, Corey Zieske of Salt Lake City, Utah; his step-brother, Tyler Zieske of Natchitoches, Louisiana; his grandmothers, Betty Bergstrom and Peggy Zieske of Huron and step grandmother, Marie Martinson of Jasper, MN; his very special aunt, Sandy and uncle, Jim Jungemann; uncles, Mike (Karen) Bergstrom of Sioux Falls, Tony (Bonnie) Bergstrom of Aberdeen, Scott (Tonna) Zieske of Rapid City; and many cousins. He married Farrah McKinney in Sioux Falls but had separated this spring. Nick was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Nels Bergstrom, Robert Zieske and DeWane Martinson; and his close cousin, Jeff Jungemann.
