Neda Fenske, age 79, of Huron died Wednesday, November 25, at her home.

Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2009 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron with a burial in Wolsey Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday, November 29, at Welter Funeral Home with a devotional service at 7:00 p.m., or one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Neda Joyce Fenske was born September 29, 1930, at Virgil, SD, to Wylie and Anna (Bartel) Davis. She attended Sandcreek country school before attending and graduating in 1948 from Wessington High School. Neda married Melvin Ernster on October 27, 1948 in Huron. She worked for Lees Drive Inn in Huron, Economy Service in Wolsey, and Van Dykes in Woonsocket. After Melvin died in 1976, Neda married Ervin Fenske at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron on February 8, 1980. Neda enjoyed spending time with her family especially babysitting her grandkids and playing cards with her neighbors.

Neda is survived by; two sons; Steve (Shari) Ernster of Armour and Mike (Sid) Ernster of Rock Springs, WY; daughters, Deanna (Delbert) Peskey of Huron and Julie (Marvin) Hartke of Moorhead, MN; step sons, Randy Fenske, Wayne Fenske, Paul (Susan) Fenske; step daughter, Brenda Hollenback; step daughter in law, Charlotte Fenske; grandchildren, Nikki (Chris) Gross, Matt (Stacy) Ernster, Melissa Ernster, Tatum (Kevin) Lowry, Jon Michael Ernster, Tara Sutherland; 12 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brother in law, Don Koch; sister in law, Betty Davis and Macy Davis; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, her neighbor Norma Hines.

Neda was preceded in death by; her parents; her husbands, Melvin in 1976, and Ervin in 1993; one grandson, Brian Dilley; one great grandson Aiden Gross; two brothers; three sisters; and step son in law George Hollenback.
