Nathan Ronald Greenfield, age 82, of Huron, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020, at the Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron, SD.
Nathan R. Greenfield, the son of Alfred and Lela (Wolf) Greenfield, was born on June 21, 1938 in Bryant, SD. Nathan lived with his parents and attended school in the Willow Lake and Bryant areas until 1951 when he moved with his parents to Huron. Nathan attended and graduated from Huron High School. Nathan also served his country in the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged.
Nathan married Bernadette McNally on April 3, 1966 in Huron, SD . Nathan owned and operated Greenfield Painting in Huron for many years until his retirement.
Nathan loved fishing trips and trapshooting with his wife Bernadette. They also enjoyed antiquing. Nathan loved spending time with his family and friends, and the times he spent with Bernadette were some of the most enjoyable times in his life Nathan enjoyed watching Westerns, especially John Wayne movies.
Grateful for having shared in Nathan's life are his wife, Bernadette of Huron; His children: Jami Schoenfelder of Huron, SD, Gregory Vincent, of Huron, SD, Ronissa (Alan) Adams of West Fork, AR, and Heath Greenfield of Huron, SD; seven grandchildren: Seth, Jesse, Tylor, Jayde, Savanna, Kaleigh, and Ian; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Robert (Margaret) of Raymond, MS, Charles (Linda) of Moses Lake, WA, and Allen (Karen) of Huron; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Greenfield in 2004; sister, Susan Greenfield in 1980; granddaughter, Lily Adams, and great-granddaughter, Tyara Bailey.
