Obituary
Myron J. Willis, age 64, of 305 Locust Ave. SE, Wolsey, SD, died on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at his home in Wolsey, SD.
His Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron. The family will be present at the funeral home to greet friends on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
His body has been cremated and a private family burial will held at a later date.
Myron Jackson Willis the son of Jackson and Bernice (Luthi) Willis was born on March 14, 1945 in Woonsocket, SD. He attended Wolsey High School and graduated in 1963. Myron served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1967. Myron attended the Minnesota School of Arts and The New York Institute of Art. He then moved back to Wolsey.
Myron would spend numerous hours sketching. He loved dogs, and enjoyed bike riding. He also loved to spend a lot of time with his nephews.
Grateful for having shared his life are his brother, Kevin (Julie) Willis, Shelton, NE; his sister, Virginia Walden, Edgewater, CO; and his nephews Scott, Marc, David, Ezekiel, Jonathan, Wendall, and Bradley Willis.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Delvin and Craig.
