Myra Gascoigne, age 53, of 2214 Ohio Ave SW, Huron, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at Avera McKennan Hospital at Sioux Falls. Her Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Jonathan Boehne officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. There will be a Devotional Service at 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 30th at the Welter Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Myra Gascoigne was born Myra Maas on December 22, 1954, to Wilbur A. and Mary Jean (Walz) Maas in Huron. She attended Huron grade school and Huron High School. On April 28, 1973, Myra married Chuck Gascoigne in Huron. They have made their home in Huron since that time. Myra was employed at the Circle K Caf, and Bales Truck Stop Caf. She was a homemaker, babysitter and had many paper routes. Myra was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Her greatest joys were her family, faith, and grandchildren. Collecting dolls, reading the bible, and spending time with her family were her hobbies. Her favorite Scripture verse was Psalm 91. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Gascoigne of Huron; three daughters, Angela (Ray) Thuestad of Huron, Heidi Gascoigne of Huron, and Hilary Robey of Aberdeen; two sons, Erik (Angie) Gascoigne of Woodbury, MN and Shane Gascoigne of Huron; five grandchildren, Adam Thuestad, Josh Thuestad, Ender Robey, Katelyn Gascoigne and Henry Charles Gascoigne; her father, Wilbur Maas of Huron; four brothers and one sister, Darwin (Michelle) Maas of Huron, Steve Maas of Sioux Falls, Monica (Ron) Blachford of De Smet, Randy Maas of Sioux Falls and Brian (Carla) Maas of Fishers, IN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Jean Maas on October 30, 2007, her grandparents and a grandson, Raymond Edward Thuestad Jr. on April 28, 1993.
