Mu Thu, age 55, of Huron, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Su Knya Baptist Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Huron. Visitation, will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Mother Mu Thu was born on January 1, 1967 in the city of Pa Pu. Her father's name is Oo Kan and her mother's name is Mu Mu. Mother Mu Thu has 9 siblings and she was the second oldest. She finished 7th grade and after that, she settled down and married Father Nay Tha. They had four children together. Mother Mu Thu and her husband had been married for 38 years till her last day on Earth. They had two daughters and two sons. One of her daughters was the oldest and the other one was the youngest, both of her daughters are deceased. Mother Mu Thu was a good mother, a good sister and a good person. She loved her siblings as well as her nieces and nephews. She has been through a lot throughout her whole life. She lost her oldest daughter when she was 25 and her youngest one when she was only four. After she lost both her daughters, she became very depressed, and then she became very sick. She ended up having several health issues.

In 2013, Mu Thu and her family moved to America. In 2021, her kidney condition became worse and she ended up having to go to the Huron Regional Medical Center. The doctor in the Huron hospital then transferred her to Sioux Falls Hospital with a helicopter because they were unable to help her. The doctor in Sioux Falls examined her and found out that she had kidney failure. She was then put on dialysis. After dialysis, she felt worse because she was unable to sleep, had a hard time breathing and didn't have the appetite to eat as well.

On August 29th, 2022 in the morning, she went and did dialysis. After that, she came back home and ended up on the floor. Her two nieces went to her house and they were unable to make her respond to them. They called the ambulance and they took her to the Huron Hospital. Mu Thu was pronounced dead on August 29th, 2022 at 5:50pm. Mu Thu might have left us too soon, but we will always remember her as a very good mother, a good wife, and a good sister that we should look up to. She was also the person who didn't like to be in debt and always liked things to be clean and organized. Her life in this world might be short, but she will always be missed and remembered.
