Monica "Moc" Miner Wingo, age 49, of Huron, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Welter Funeral Home with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron. Visitation with no family present, will be from 4-6 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron.

Monica was born September 30, 1971 in Huron, SD to parents Hugh and Helen (McMahon) Miner.  She attended school in Huron, SD and graduated in 1989.  She studied at SDSU in Brookings, SD and USD Vermillion, SD.  Through the years she has lived in Vermillion, SD, Sioux City, IA, and Huron, SD.

Monica had a positive attitude and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.   In recent years she has spent time making embroidered dish towels.

She is survived by her children Dylan Wingo and Marilyn Wingo and grandchildren Madelyn and Alice; parents Hugh and Helen Miner; siblings – Patty (Chris) Kerkhove, Thomas (Cecilee) Miner, Laura Willemssen, William (Chessa) Miner, Emma (Mike) Jouwstra; nieces and nephews – Crystal, Cameron, Cassie and Connor Kerkhove; Chloe, Arielle, Quinnley Miner; Maddie and Bessie Willemssen; Grace, Olivia and Sophia Miner; and Oren Jouwstra.

She is proceeded in death by sibling Daniel Miner, nephew Carson Miner, grandparents Paul and Alice Miner, Lauretta Schaefers, and Lloyd McMahon.
